13,000 Years of Coastal Living

A team of archaeologists are looking for evidence of humans—the oldest sites they can find in the Discovery Islands off Vancouver Island, British Columbia. When the glaciers receded, people arrived. These people adapted to coastal living, even as the shorelines changed dramatically as sea levels rose and fell. Come into the field with the archaeologists for a behind-the-scenes look at how they piece together the history of coastal living for the last 13,000 years.
